A halfway decent resource for learning to pronounce stuff in Wisconsin

A colleague showed this website to me today.

http://www.misspronouncer.com

It is a good resource for newcomers to Wisconsin. The website lists the famous people and places in Wisconsin. Click on a word to listen to the pronunciations that trip up those folks from Illinois.

Legislators? Representatives? Judges? Oh my! It's downright useful.

Mandy Moore

I just got back from seeing Mandy Moore at the Pabst Theatre. She puts on an awesome show. Seriously.

I picked up her latest album, "Wild Hope", which in my humble opinion is her best yet.

I also got to meet Chris Stills. He did a solo acoustic set which really set the bar pretty high.

I'll post photos soon.

National Public Lands Day

Happy National Public Lands Day, everyone!

I went to Linden Hill, an "urban treehouse" area in my neighborhood. Together with America's Outdoors, members of the community got together and planted wildflowers.

And in case you were wondering, yes - Woodsy Owl and Smokey Bear did make an appearance.

Making music

I can't believe I spent as much time as I did putting my band, "Chew On", together. Though I gotta say they have a cool groove.

Happy as a lark

Sometimes I wish I was a lark. People are often using them as a comparative to measure happiness.

Yes. I believe it would be good to be a lark.
